Appointments

We see patients by appointment only. Our hours of operation are from 9:00 AM to 5:00 pm, Monday through Friday. Please call the appropriate office between the above hours to make an appointment. You may be asked to briefly describe the nature of your problem to the appointment scheduler so that it will be easier for her to schedule your appointment with the appropriate physician. If the nature of your illness is such that it can't wait until there is an opening with the physician you have requested, our appointment schedulers may offer you an earlier appointment with another physician.

If you are unable to keep your scheduled appointment, please call and let us know. 24 hour notice is appreciated.

Although we make every effort to honor your appointment time, this is not always possible. Due to the nature of our practice, we must frequently see patients requiring immediate attention. We truly appreciate your understanding and patience when these situations arise and cause an unavoidable delay. Emergencies always receive priority, and you can be assured that you will receive the same prompt care if you should require it. Please feel free to call our office before your appointment to inquire about schedule delays. We strive to provide the highest quality care to all our patients.

Appointment Cancellations

If the need arises for you to cancel an appointment, please notify us at least 48 hours in advance. We want to be able to reschedule your visit in order to assure that your medical needs are met. Also, if you cancel your appointment in advance, we may be able to offer that appointment to another patient who is waiting to see one of our physicians.

New Patients to Surgical Associates of Palm Beach County

New patients to Surgical Associates of Palm Beach County should arrive 20 to 30 minutes prior to their scheduled appointment in order to allow adequate time to complete any necessary documents.

Hospital Affiliations

All of our surgeons are on the staff of Boca Raton Community Hospital (395-7100), and the Delray Medical Center (498-4440). Surgery, if required, will be performed at one of the above facilities.

Telephone Calls

Please feel free to call our office should you have any medical questions. As surgeons, we spend most of our time out of the office seeing patients in the hospital, and are therefore often unavailable. Our staff, however, is trained to answer most questions. If your question cannot be answered by one of our staff, it will be given to your surgeon. You will be called with an answer by your doctor or one of our staff as soon as possible.

Emergencies

Our office hours are from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM Monday through Friday. During office hours your call will be received by one of our telephone specialists. Emergency care is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week. If it is necessary to speak to one of our surgeons after office hours, please call 561-395-2626 and the answering service will notify the surgeon on call. If you do not receive a return call from our surgeon within 20 minutes, please call the above number again. Should you have an emergency that cannot wait for a return call, call 911 or go directly to the emergency room at either Boca Raton Community Hospital or Delray Medical Center.
